- Prepare and organize materials for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Draft, file, and serve pleadings, motions, discovery, and related legal documents.
- Conduct research on case law, statutes, and legal precedents.
- Maintain and manage both electronic and hard copy case files.
- Oversee the discovery process, including document review and production.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel to coordinate case matters.
- Assist with trial preparation including exhibits, witness lists, and logistical coordination.
- Track and ensure all case deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
- Hands on experience in business and commercial litigation, particularly in construction law and mechanics liens.
- Familiarity with court filing procedures in South Carolina and North Carolina.
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certification (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes and legal terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management tools.
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
