Job Duties
- Manage, oversee, and coordinate all phases of assigned projects including pre-construction, bidding and award, construction, and close-out
- Review pre-construction documents and provide comments to designers as necessary
- Plan, organize, and prepare reports for upper management regarding project status and progress
- Coordinate with public agencies and internal project teams to ensure compliance with off-site and regulatory requirements
- Manage project budgets and schedules to meet organizational standards; monitor and report budget status monthly
- Oversee daily contractor activities; review construction schedules and submittals; manage contractor inquiries through RFCs and related documentation
- Review substitution submittals to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements
- Review and negotiate contractor change orders to achieve fair and reasonable pricing and assess schedule impacts
- Review and process payments for contractors, architects, engineers, and related parties
- Administer professional service agreements with architects and consultants
- Coordinate delivery of fixtures, furniture, and equipment
- Manage project close-out including certifications and financial closure
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Experience
- Ten (10) years of full-time professional experience in Construction and/or a combination of Project and Construction Management for commercial and/or public/educational facility construction
- At least three (3) years of experience managing complex projects valued over $10M
- Design-Build project experience
- Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Experience with LEED-certified and/or CHPS projects
- Experience with state-level construction/design compliance processes
- Knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations (OSHA 30 minimum preferred)
One Of The Following Must Be Met
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management OR
- Bachelor's degree in any field with the ability to complete a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential within one (1) year OR
- Possession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential
- Registered Architect or Professional Engineer (state licensure preferred)
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential
