The In-Process Inspector inspects parts at various stages of manufacture and monitors compliance to Quality and customer requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Mechanically and visually inspect parts according to customer requirements.
- Inspects workmanship
- Follow up with print clarification, IP form updates, router, print and MR sheet notes
- Train shop floor employees and help set them up with the proper QC methods for each job
- Train shop floor employees on the best mechanical inspection methods and ensure the correct tools are available for each job
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain equipment used
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere and communicating effectively with co-workers and management
- Ensure that safe work practices are followed.
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of various measuring devices such as calipers, outside micrometers, pitch mics, bore gages, pin gages, thread gages, test indicator, comparator and microscope.
