J.D. from an accredited law school
1-5 years of experience as a litigation attorney preferred, but willing to train a newly licensed attorney with an interest in civil litigation
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple cases
Excellent communication and client management skills
Active Texas bar license in good standing

Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters involving insurance defense, premises liability, property damage, commercial litigation, contract disputes, and general civil litigation
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda
- Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses
- Appear in Harris County, surrounding Texas state courts, and federal courts for hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy with senior attorneys
- Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
