Litigation Associate Attorney

An established law firm is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate to assist in representing creditors' rights in consumer matters. This role involves managing a substantial caseload, appearing in court, negotiating settlements, and supporting efficient case management across multiple jurisdictions in North Carolina (and South Carolina, as licensure permits).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume litigation caseload with minimal supervision.
• Handle hearings, trials, and court appearances across multiple jurisdictions in North Carolina (and South Carolina, as applicable).
• Negotiate settlements and case resolutions on behalf of clients.
• Supervise and collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain an organized, business-minded approach to managing an efficient law practice.
• Travel regularly for court appearances (approximately 20%-40%).
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of litigation experience in private practice.
• Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
• Ability to manage a substantial caseload independently.
• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and case management skills.
• Willingness to work primarily on-site in the Raleigh-Durham-RTP area.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Dual licensure in North Carolina and South Carolina (or willingness to obtain South Carolina licensure).
• Three (3) or more years of experience representing creditors in state court.
• Preference for working in an in-office, collaborative environment.
