The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of legal procedures, strong organizational skills, and experience preparing legal documents and managing case files.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, format, and file pleadings, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal and factual research and assist attorneys with case preparation.
- Review case files and legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic case files and records.
- Manage attorney calendars and coordinate hearings, meetings, appointments, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and other parties as directed by attorneys.
- Communicate with clients to obtain information, documents, and updates under attorney supervision.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, documents, and case materials.
- Handle electronic court filings and other administrative legal tasks.
- Provide general administrative and case-management support to attorneys as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive legal information.
- Strong understanding of legal concepts, procedures, and terminology.
- Experience preparing and filing legal documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct legal and factual research and review case materials.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, legal practice management software, and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to work independently while supporting attorneys and collaborating with a legal team.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent law firm experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment preferred.
Salary : $60,000 - $100,000
