We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Head of Business Development to drive product adoption and revenue growth within our dynamic, high-tech environment. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with customers to solve complex computational challenges and reduce their time to market using Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Modified-COTS solutions. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated technical sales professional who excels at taking ownership of revenue targets, executing disciplined sales strategies, and translating intricate customer needs into scalable product wins. Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Take full accountability for revenue generation across defined accounts and territories while maintaining a strong customer-first approach.
  • Identify high-potential customers and secure design wins through deep technical understanding and disciplined sales execution.
  • Engage with key decision-makers to comprehend their business, program, and technical needs, translating them into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Define and propose tailored solutions utilizing a broad portfolio of COTS products or adapting them into Modified-COTS solutions, balancing feasibility, engineering effort, and profit margins.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations, exhibit at industry trade shows, and build a robust professional network.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and emerging technology trends to provide direct input into new product definitions and overall company strategy.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, manage opportunity qualification, and meticulously track deal progression.
  • Cultivate long-term customer relationships post-delivery to drive account expansion, follow-on programs, and lifecycle revenue.

Qualifications And Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Electronics, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5 or more years of proven experience in technical sales, business development, or systems engineering roles.
  • Prior experience and strong technical knowledge in FPGA-based processing or embedded computing systems is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, customer engagement, and proposal development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and consistently deliver results.
  • Proficiency and familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Requirement: Due to strict export control regulations and customer requirements applicable to this role, United States citizenship is required.

Additional Information

  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (averaging approximately 25%, varying by quarter). This includes periodic multi-day customer visits and attendance at several industry trade shows per year.

Salary : $140,000 - $170,000
