Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate project specifications, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and accurate cost estimates.
- Develop comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure cost accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to ensure feasibility and alignment of bids.
- Conduct cost analysis and maintain accurate records for future project planning.
- Assist in improving estimating processes and maintaining organized documentation.
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience, preferably in industrial and commercial projects.
- Strong experience in cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, and bid preparation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and industry drawings.
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- HCSS HeavyBid experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to commute to the Sacramento, CA location (on-site role).
- 5 years of work experience with Microsoft Office.
