Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and components for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Manage project production efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, documentation, testing, and support activities to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
- Perform detailed calculations and establish construction or installation standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, customers, and stakeholders regarding existing and future projects.
- Compile project data and prepare engineering reports and documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, proposal development, and value engineering initiatives.
- Support lighting and power design, arc flash studies, short circuit studies, as-built drawings, and safety-related engineering activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of construction-related electrical engineering experience
- Engineer In Training (EIT) designation required
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Michigan preferred or actively pursuing
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- LEED Certification
- Experience with commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems.
- AutoCAD Electrical
- Revit (BIM)
- SKM Power Tools or ETAP
- Bluebeam Revu
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
- AGi32 or other lighting/photometric software
- Trace 700, EnergyPlus, or similar energy modeling tools
- Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
- Ability to navigate active construction environments.
