Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Director of Food & Beverage to lead all dining and beverage operations across the club. This individual will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery, driving operational excellence, and enhancing overall member satisfaction. The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage teams, optimize financial performance, and elevate the club's dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all food and beverage operations, including à la carte dining, banquets, pool service, and club events
- Provide visible, hands-on leadership during service periods to ensure seamless execution and high member satisfaction
- Lead, mentor, and develop food and beverage managers and staff
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance of team members
- Enhance service standards, training programs, and standard operating procedures
- Lead menu development and ongoing updates in collaboration with culinary teams
- Monitor member feedback and ensure prompt resolution of concerns
- Ensure consistency in service delivery across all outlets and shifts
- Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and P&L performance
- Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
- Control labor costs through effective scheduling and productivity management
- Oversee purchasing, inventory control, and vendor negotiations
- Ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and health regulations
- Maintain adherence to all local, state, and federal laws, including alcohol service regulations
- Plan and execute tournaments, banquets, weddings, and member events
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning and operational improvements
- Develop innovative dining concepts, promotions, and member engagement initiatives
- Oversee beverage program development, including wine lists and cocktail programs
- Conduct staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations
- Utilize POS and management systems to track performance and improve efficiency
- Ensure proper maintenance of dining facilities and equipment
- Act as a key ambassador of the club's culture and member experience
- 3 years of progressive leadership experience in food & beverage (private club experience preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Proven experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and P&L
- High standards for service excellence and attention to detail
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
Salary : $68,000 - $75,000
