- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst / Underwriter to join our growing banking team in Delaware, Ohio.

- The Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating new and existing commercial loan relationships, performing credit underwriting, preparing loan presentations, and assisting with ongoing credit administration activities. This position ensures loan requests are properly documented and analyzed while maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Credit Analysis & Underwriting
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and supporting documentation
- Prepare annual reviews, credit memorandums, and credit approval packages
- Evaluate borrower cash flow, repayment capacity, collateral, and guarantor strength
- Assess primary and secondary repayment sources under various lending scenarios
- Recommend loan structures and risk ratings
- Underwrite new and existing commercial loan relationships
- Communicate directly with loan officers and borrowers to obtain additional information when needed
- Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Management
- Monitor commercial loan relationships for covenant compliance
- Assist with periodic collection and review of updated financial information
- Evaluate portfolio performance and identify emerging credit risks
- Review commercial and residential real estate appraisals
- Maintain compliance with the Bank's lending policies and procedures
- Compile financial spreadsheets utilizing tax returns and financial statements
- Produce monthly and quarterly portfolio performance reports
- Assist with regulatory reporting and audit requests
- Maintain accurate loan documentation and credit files
- Participate in Loan Administration meetings and special projects
- Build effective working relationships with loan officers, customers, and community stakeholders
- Provide exceptional customer service and responsiveness
- Collaborate effectively across departments to support lending objectives
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with residential, commercial, and consumer lending
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
- Experience utilizing loan origination and administration systems such as:
- LaserPro
- Encompass
- Experience with:
- Abrigo / Sageworks
- Crystal Reports
- Previous commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience within a banking environment
- Candidates should possess working knowledge of applicable banking regulations and compliance requirements, including:
