Certified Technician

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Technician willing to drive around ATL. The Certified Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection equipment, including fire extinguishers, kitchen suppression systems, fire alarms, or sprinkler systems. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Certified Technician will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities, providing technical support, and training clients on the proper use of equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection equipment
• Certification within NFPA 10, 17, 17A, 25, or 72
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
• Ability to conduct regular inspections and identify potential hazards
• Knowledge of safety regulations and ensuring compliance
• Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills
• Technical support and client training skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications or licenses in fire protection technology
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and climbing
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus
