Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Superintendent (MEP - Low Voltage & Security) to oversee all low-voltage and security system scopes for a large-scale construction program. This role is responsible for managing installation, testing, trade coordination, and ensuring all work complies with project drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily field activities related to low-voltage and security systems, including access control, CCTV, alarms, and structured cabling.
- Coordinate with multiple trades to maintain workflow efficiency and avoid conflicts.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Monitor schedule progress and ensure assigned scopes remain on track.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality and proper installation practices.
- Manage subcontractors and field crews to ensure productivity and accountability.
- Maintain documentation such as daily reports, inspection logs, and testing records.
- Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and turnover activities.
- 5 years of experience supervising low-voltage, security, or MEP-related scopes.
- Strong technical knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and structured cabling systems.
- Proven experience coordinating with various trades on large construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and industry standards.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Experience in hyperscale, data center, or large commercial/industrial construction projects.
- Hands-on familiarity with system testing and commissioning.
