Job Title: Shipping ManagerJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: OnsitePay: $30.00-$36.00 per hourPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Shipping Manager with at least 1 year of aerospace shipping experience to lead daily shipping, logistics, and transportation operations. This role ensures accurate, on-time deliveries while optimizing processes, controlling costs, and supporting cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement shipping and logistics strategies to meet company and customer objectives.Coordinate product shipments, ensuring proper documentation, packaging, and labeling.Work closely with sales and customer service teams to support timely and accurate order fulfillment.Monitor and track shipments, provide updates, and resolve any delivery issues.Oversee inventory levels and product availability for shipment.Evaluate and select transportation carriers based on cost, reliability, and performance.Negotiate carrier rates and contracts to optimize shipping expenses.Maintain efficient shipping processes, including automation and technology usage.Resolve discrepancies such as damaged, delayed, or lost shipments and handle claims.Analyze shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvement.Train, supervise, and support shipping team members.Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 1 year of aerospace shipping experience.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.Proficiency with shipping software, WMS systems, and Microsoft Office.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.Leadership experience managing shipping staff.Understanding of logistics, transportation, routing, and cost optimization.Knowledge of proper shipping and packaging techniques.QualificationsProven shipping/logistics management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.Experience with shipping documentation (BOL, commercial invoices, customs declarations).Ability to manage and negotiate carrier contracts.Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret shipping data.Benefits401(k) & 401(k) matchingHealth, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid time off
