Duties And Responsibilities
- Respond to and complete service calls efficiently and professionally.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to security and fire systems.
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and system adjustments as required.
- Provide reliable, high-quality customer support while collaborating with sales and field technicians.
- Maintain truck stock/inventory, including equipment, PPE, and tools.
- Ensure safety and effective work practices for self and team members.
- Conduct system testing and signal verifications.
- Accurately complete documentation and service reports in a timely manner.
- Provide customer instruction and training on system operations when necessary.
- Communicate professionally with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Complete additional projects or assignments as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training required.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial field experience or 3 years of residential experience.
- Proficient with commercial intrusion, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems.
- Experience with DMP and Digital Watchdog is required; familiarity with Honeywell (Vista), Bosch, and Aiphone is a plus.
- Ability to use testing tools such as a Fluke or VOM meter for diagnosing electrical circuits and faults.
- Working knowledge of NFPA code requirements.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Possession of a MN PLT license is preferred and may increase wage potential.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, twist, pull, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
- Good visual acuity, including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including ladders, lifts, plenum ceilings, and crawl spaces.
- Ability to lift, move, and hold up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to drive a vehicle during both day and night shifts.
