Position: Lighting Designer / Applications Designer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Lighting Designer / Applications Designer I to support a wide range of projects across commercial, healthcare, educational, hospitality, mixed-use, and residential sectors. The role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, contractors, and distributors to create effective lighting solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform lighting calculations using Visual 3D and/or AGI32
Design and recommend lighting layouts based on project criteria
Provide budget pricing for projects
Deliver technical support via phone, email, and in-person
Select and recommend lighting fixtures from multiple manufacturers
Attend product trainings and participate in professional development
Support sales functions during business hours and occasionally after hours
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field
Experience in lighting design or lighting project management
Knowledge of architectural and engineering design processes
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, InDesign, and lighting software (AGI32 or Visual Professional)
Strong organizational, analytical, and customer service skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and preferably Microsoft Teams
