Job DescriptionOur client is a fifth-generation, family-owned iron and steel foundry, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Final Inspector to join our quality team. This role ensures our castings meet customer and internal quality standards before leaving the facility.With more than 90 years of excellence in abrasion-, heat-, and corrosion-resistant castings, we value accuracy, consistency, and pride in workmanship. We're looking for someone who shares that commitment.Key Responsibilities· Perform final dimensional inspection of iron and steel castings using standard measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges).· Inspect castings for surface defects, parting line quality, weld repairs, riser/gate removal, cracks, and non-conformances.· Review basic job travelers, specifications, and quality checkpoints prior to approval.· Complete accurate and legible Final Inspection Reports, documenting measurements, observations, and acceptance or rejection status.· Communicate effectively with Quality and Production teams regarding discrepancies, rework needs, and corrective actions.· Tag and document castings that require repair; verify corrections once completed.· Ensure castings are clean, properly identified, and meet shipping standards prior to release.· Maintain organized inspection documentation and contribute to ongoing quality improvements.Qualifications· Previous experience in final inspection, quality control, foundry work, or industrial manufacturing preferred.· Strong attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy.· Ability to use basic inspection tools such as calipers, tape measures, rulers, and gauges.· Ability to learn job-specific inspection criteria and follow established procedures.· Good communication skills and ability to work closely with the Quality department.· Ability to lift and move castings as needed (within company safety limits).What We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceMedical benefitsPaid time off and holiday payA stable, long-standing company with a supportive team environmentOpportunities for internal growthExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:401(k)Health insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person
