Job Summary

Our Client is seeking a skilled Construction Project Estimator to join their growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for underground utility and civil-site projects based on project plans, specifications, and scope requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction methods, cost analysis, and project budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications for underground utilities and civil site development projects.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, bid proposals, and cost-analysis reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather pricing, evaluate proposals, and confirm scope alignment.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize costs while maintaining project quality and compliance.
• Maintain documentation, historical cost data, and internal cost-tracking tools for future estimates and post-bid evaluations.
• Support the development of competitive bids and ensure all estimate components meet project requirements.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly within underground utilities, site development, or civil-infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical plans, and project specifications.
• Experience with cost management, budgeting, and project estimation techniques.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
