About the job
The Technical Account Representative's (TAR) focus is to increase sales revenue by supporting all sales efforts within an assigned geographic territory and tireless pursuit of all company sales goals. This role assists up to two Regional Sales Managers as the primary inside sales contact for customers handling quotes, lead generation and response, product demos, responding to customer inquiries, and sales admin support items. The individual is equipped and comfortable conducting sales discussions with existing and potential customers and answering product-related questions independently.
Responsibilities :
Support sales efforts to drive increased revenue and hit company sales targets.
Answer product-related questions, demo products, and make product recommendations in a consultative way to existing and potential customers.
Recognize upgrade and expansion selling opportunities.
Frequently document sales activities in CRM Salesforce.com.
Help funnel service-related issues to the Customer Service Department.
Develop a complete understanding of Product features / benefits, account hierarchy, market and product applications, and technical product language / wording.
Review order documents for accuracy and completeness when issues arise. Work with customers and the Order Team on any required order corrections.
Check inventory records to determine the availability of requested merchandise, facilitate customer delivery needs, and provide an accurate order-revenue-cycle forecast.
Confer with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace shipments when required.
Arrange proposals and quotes for new sales inquiries.
Cold and warm calling / customer outreach.
Collaborate across departments to communicate and facilitate understanding of customer product needs, special requests, delivery timelines, and customer service issues.

Requirements :
Minimum 1 to 2 years working in an inside sales, Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, or similar role.
Not afraid to cold call or guide the conversation in a consultative sales discussion.
A love for helping customers and delivering satisfaction.
Previous experience working with Salesforce desired.
Previous experience responding to sales inquiries, quoting, contracting and selling a product.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or by other means to individuals and groups.
Able to work independently or in a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong team player willing to seek feedback, adopt practices, and continuously learn and evolve.
Ability to learn new products and concepts and eagerness to explore innovative technology.
