What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orion/Splunk SME position at W3Global Canada, Inc?
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary SME for SolarWinds Orion and Splunk across production, non-production, and DR environments.
Design, implement, and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, reports, and visualizations.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for performance and availability issues.
Integrate monitoring tools with network devices, servers, applications, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.
Tune alerts to reduce noise and improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with network, security, infrastructure, and application teams.
Provide L3support, documentation, and technical guidance.
Required Skills and Experience:
10 years of hands-on experience with SolarWinds Orion and Splunk in large enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of network, system, and application monitoring.
Expertise in Splunk SPL, dashboards, alerts, and reports.
Experience working in 24x7 production environments with strong stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred:
SolarWinds and/or Splunk certifications.
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and automation/scripting.
Experience in T&M or managed services models.
