Lead Lineman

Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Lead Lineman to oversee and actively participate in aerial fiber and strand construction. This is not a sit-back role—you’ll be in the field daily, leading by example, building, and ensuring the job gets done right. The ideal candidate is someone we can trust to run a crew independently, maintain production, and uphold quality and safety standards without constant supervision.

Duties

• Lead and supervise field service crews during installation, repair, and maintenance of telecommunication systems
• Operate heavy equipment including bucket trucks, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently to facilitate construction and repair activities
• Perform pole transfers, and aerial cable and strand installation
• Read maps and drawings to construct new equipment to spec
• Climbing poles
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to construction practices, and working at heights
• Collaborate with project managers to plan daily tasks and coordinate resources effectively
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, fiber splicing logs, footages, and incident reports

Requirements

• Proven experience in aerial fiber and strand construction.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to run crew independently
• Ability to understand prints and construction plans
• Pole climbing experience and valid drivers license
• Reliable, self motivated, accountable

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
