W.W. Rowland Trucking Company, LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Terminal Manager to lead our Nashville, Tennessee terminal operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing terminal staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout our intermodal transportation network.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop dispatch and terminal personnel.
- Foster a positive, high-performing team culture focused on safety, accountability, and customer service.
- Manage employee performance through coaching, goal setting, monitoring, and regular performance evaluations.
- Build strong working relationships across departments and locations.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily terminal operations to ensure efficient freight movement and service execution.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance safety, productivity, training, and operational performance.
- Develop and maintain systems that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in management and departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Develop and implement audit programs to verify driver proficiency and adherence to operational procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety through training, accountability, and continuous monitoring.
Customer Service & Reporting
- Partner with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns and operational issues promptly.
- Analyze transportation costs, customer efficiencies, and operational performance metrics.
- Prepare regular reports and recommendations to improve transportation systems and profitability.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in intermodal transportation or related trucking operations.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, vendors, owner-operators, terminal staff, and leadership.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and transportation management software.
- Experience with equipment tracking and tracing systems.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Additional logistics and transportation operations experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
