Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive painting estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and related documents using planswift and estimate works.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to negotiate pricing and contract terms that align with project goals.
- Coordinate all phases of project estimation from initial bid to final proposal, ensuring timely submission and compliance with client requirements.
- Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and cost control strategies to optimize resource allocation and maximize profitability.
- Review final contracts thoroughly to understand scope, risks, and obligations; communicate key contractual details to relevant teams.
- Support project management activities by tracking progress, managing change orders, and maintaining detailed documentation for each project.
- Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights that inform accurate estimates and facilitate smooth project execution.
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms with vendors and subcontractors.
- Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software to develop precise cost projections.
- Deep understanding of construction estimating principles, including cost control, pricing strategies, and bid preparation.
- Hands-on construction site experience coupled with knowledge of construction management practices to ensure realistic estimates.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating between clients, team members, suppliers, and stakeholders involved in the project lifecycle.
