Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and create personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavioral Therapy.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and case management.
- Engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices in therapy and mental health treatment.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages patient participation in their own care.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Professional Counseling or Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a LPC, LAPC, LCSW, or LMSW.
- Experience in group therapy and patient care is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, case management, and medical documentation.
- Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavioral Therapy.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to build rapport with clients.
