Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Assist with case management, ensuring continuity of care for patients.
- Perform procedures such as suturing when necessary and assist in mammography as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using electronic health record systems like Cerner.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Provide specialized care for children, including toddler care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices and procedures in various medical settings.
- Proficiency in case management principles and practices.
- Experience working with children, particularly in pediatric settings.
- Familiarity with internal medicine practices and common ailments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Ability to perform basic medical procedures such as suturing with precision.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, specifically Cerner, for documentation purposes.
