This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by fostering transparency and trust in a community where your work truly matters.

  • Collaborate with corporate communications and technical project teams on a comprehensive strategy to generate community input throughout the Superfund process.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with community members, businesses, and organizations.
  • Serve as the primary local point of contact for community inquiries, feedback, and information requests about OU3-related activities.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with and provide regular project updates to local and state elected officials as appropriate.
  • Represent Grace/KDC at local events and recurring civic leader meetings, such as the Libby City Council, Lincoln County Board of Commissioners, LASOC, etc.
  • Engage with community and business organizations to provide updates on OU3-related activities, gain insight on community support opportunities, etc.
  • In close coordination with Corporate Communications, develop print and digital informational materials related to OU3.

  • Review community support requests and develop annual proposal for community/philanthropic support.
  • Coordinate, manage, and track Grace/KDC community support activities.
  • Track local media, neighborhood groups, and social media for OU3 related information.
  • Work with Corporate Communications to ensure consistent messaging and responsiveness to community feedback.

Office Operations

  • Operate local office as an accessible information resource for the community.
  • Maintain office organization, cleanliness, and supply inventory.
  • Handle correspondence, mail, and deliveries; greet visitors and schedule meetings.
  • Provide administrative support to project team as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in community relations, governmental affairs, communications, marketing, or related fields/roles.
  • Related experience desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to interact professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms
  • In office 5 days/week, limited remote work may be approved as needed.
  • Occasional evening or weekend meetings/events/work will be required.
