Job Description
Grace is looking for the successful candidate to fill the role of Chemical Operator Trainee at our Tyrone PA location. This position is a rotating 12-hour shift position that performs various operations necessary to produce chemicals, adhering to all applicable Grace rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to production schedules.
Must be able to work holidays, weekends. and nights.
Responsibilities
- Load raw materials into vessels
- Operate various types of process equipment
- Monitor production equipment and processes.
- Document the process using a batch record.
- Packaging the finished product
Physical Requirements and Environment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials
- Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working shift work
