Quality Supervisor

Summary

The Quality Control Supervisor oversees and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor inspection protocols, define sampling procedures, and determine equipment and mechanisms to be used in the inspection process.
• Recommend changes in specifications of materials, parts, and products based on inspection results.
• Formulate and revise quality control policies and procedures as directed and approved by Quality Assurance.
• Determining and distributing work assignments and responsibilities to ensure employees in their work group collaborate towards a common objective.
• Monitoring employee performance and attendance in support of company policies.
• Assist in training new employees on company QA/QC procedures and policies.
• Performing regular internal audits of their departments and production lines to ensure they comply with company standards in regard to quality control objectives.
• Providing support and guidance to team members to ensure they perform their duties effectively.

Positional Requirements & Qualifications

• Education & Experience
• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Skills & Abilities
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word Processing, Adobe, and Internet software.
• No certifications needed.
• Work group supervision of the following areas:
• Shipping and receiving.
• First Piece and Final Inspection.
• Clear background check within company and customer requirements
• Must be able to pass drug & alcohol screening

Essential Physical Functions

• Lifting up to 25 pounds
• Bending, stooping, ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
