Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits seeks an IT Infrastructure Intern to join our Internship Program for the Summer of 2026. This program will provide students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience, gain a comprehensive understanding of the various functions within our business and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career.
The IT Infrastructure Intern will play a vital role in supporting our IT Infrastructure group, particularly in configuring and deploying a server and network monitoring solution for one of our locations. Reporting to the Network Administrator, the intern will gain hands-on experience with monitoring tools, networking fundamentals, and command-line administration. The intern will also be presented with a unique assignment that will challenge them to think strategically and collaborate with other cross-functional partners. The intern will be expected to make a final presentation to the Leadership Team at the end of the summer.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field with a strong GPA.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP) and familiarity with command-line interfaces (Linux/Windows).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Self motivated individual with a desire to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in configuring and deploying a server and network monitoring solution (Nagios) for one of our locations. Collaborate with the Network Administrator and IT Infrastructure team to gather requirements and ensure the monitoring setup meets organizational needs and standards. Execute against requirements and build a support plan for ongoing maintenance by the end of the internship.
- Support the creation and organization of documentation related to monitoring configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures within IT Infrastructure. Ensure that all documentation is clear, concise, and easily accessible for team members.
- Assist with other administrative tasks and workstreams as needed to support the IT Infrastructure team’s initiatives.
Expectations:
- The intern will be expected to work no more than 40 hours per week and will be compensated on an hourly basis.
- This is a hybrid role, and the intern will be expected to visit our Stamford, CT office multiple times during the internship.
