What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tech Support position at PERFORMANCE LLC?
This position is a full-time and an in-office position located in Osage Beach, MO working as Tech Support across multiple businesses we own. These businesses include Performance Boat Center, Performance Powerboats, Redhead Lakesside Grill, Roxies Roadhouse, and The Cave Bar and Grill.
- Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization
- Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
- Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
- Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation
- Maintain documentation for each job completed (including photos, serial numbers, and logs)
Qualifications:
- Operating Systems: Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and server environments is crucial.
- Hardware and Software: Experience with installation, repair, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and standard office equipment.
- Networking: Knowledge of networks, including Wi-Fi infrastructure, firewalls, and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Databases: Experience with database management systems is often required.
- Problem-solving: The ability to analyze and solve technical problems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to help users and explain technical concepts.
