Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a frontline ambassador for Maze Lumber, engaging with customers and contractors to understand their needs, providing tailored solutions, and fostering long-term relationships. Your proactive approach will drive sales growth, enhance customer and contractor satisfaction, and support our mission to deliver exceptional service. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in sales and gain expertise in the lumber and building materials industry, account management, and customer relationship management within a fast-paced, innovative environment. Commission eligibility may be introduced after one year of consistent, high-level performance in the role.

Duties

• Engage with prospective and existing clients via phone, email, and in person to identify their materials needs and present appropriate product recommendations.
• Actively engage in sales activities, including identifying customer needs, upselling, and closing sales.
• Stay up to date on all products and materials offered, including types of wood, lumber dimensions, and any related tools or supplies.
• Accurately process orders and assist customers with loading their materials. Ensure timely delivery.
• Support project management initiatives by coordinating tasks across departments to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions, sales activities, and account updates to ensure transparency and accuracy.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving inquiries promptly, addressing concerns professionally, and maintaining positive relationships.

Experience

• Proven experience in sales or customer service roles within a lumber yard or building materials industry is preferred, but will train the right candidate.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
• Familiarity with the different types of lumber and building materials.
• Experience in handling multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
