Position Summary:
W. G. Tomko, Inc. is a premier, full mechanical contractor, who provides a range of services such as HVAC piping, sheet metal and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate for the Warehouse Coordinator position would have two to three years of Mechanical/ Plumbing knowledge or experience. The position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and would work closely with various Support Operations Departments.
Essential Functions:
- Review requisitions as needed when placed by Project Management or Foreman.
- Processes material requisitions for projects, entering, tracking and closing SMT’s
- Assists with inventory control matrix / cycle counts.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment of warehouse inventory.
- Receives POs in Dynamics daily
- Reports on material charging issues to BOH Operations Manager/Controller
- Assists with receiving deliveries (UPS, FedEx, and Freight) by directing warehouse receiving which job material is for and if ordered by PM group or for order being filled by warehouse (foreman req)
- Act as Customer Service Liaison between purchasing department, warehouse, and field leadership.
- Assist other Support Operations departments with Administrative tasks if needed.
Qualifications:
- Two to three years of plumbing/mechanical background/knowledge
- Two to three years of experience with inside sales of construction supply products.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Dynamics to research material and PO’s
- Basic knowledge of mathematics including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Basic understanding of business ethics.
- Ability to schedule and prioritize all work assignments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse individuals.
- Must be proficient with all Microsoft applications.
- Ability to enforce and abide by all Tomko rules and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment:
This position works in a typical office environment. Pleasant and safe working atmosphere and conditions, which at times may involve moderate exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Physical Effort:
Light physical effort requiring handling of average-weight objects up to 35 pounds and some standing and walking.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
