Responsibilities
Assist senior electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and commercial buildings. Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit installation, and fixture mounting. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation of electrical components. Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to verify system integrity. Help with the setup and troubleshooting of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines at all times. Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and site inspections to promote a safe working environment.
Skills
Strong interest in electrical systems with a willingness to learn on the job. Experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment like ohmmeters. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Knowledge of NEC standards related to low voltage and high voltage systems preferred. Construction site experience demonstrating reliability and safety awareness. Basic understanding of frame carpentry or related construction skills is advantageous.
