Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role requires knowledge of electrical systems, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit boards for new construction or renovation projects.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including power outages, wiring faults, and malfunctioning equipment.
- Upgrades: Upgrade existing electrical systems to meet safety codes or improve energy efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- System Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards and maintain operational efficiency.
- Customer Support: Provide clear and friendly advice to customers regarding their electrical needs and offer solutions for energy efficiency and system improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, inspections, and repairs.
- Collaboration: Work with other contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- License/Certification: Journeyman or be in the process of completing certification.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and safety standards.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting, bending, and working at heights.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex electrical issues clearly to customers.
- Tools & Equipment: Familiarity with electrical tools and equipment, including multimeters, wiring tools, and power drills.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial electrical systems is a plus.
- OSHA certification or similar safety certifications.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
