What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reefer Technician position at W&B SERVICE COMPANY LLC?
W&B Service Company has an excellent opportunity for a Reefer Technician. We are the largest transport refrigeration dealer of Carrier Transicold, a world leader in Truck, Trailer and rail refrigeration systems. We are also the nation’s largest full service Hyundai Translead trailer dealer. We have 21 facilities throughout the Southwest, including Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
Duties will include:
- Perform diagnostics and repair starting and charging system, cooling and re-charge, and electrical including common fault codes. Repairs include performing leak detection procedures, compressor replacements, soldering refrigerant lines, evaporator/condenser replacements and front & rear main engine seal replacements.
- Perform repair and maintenance on reefer units in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
- Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.
- Must be able to diagnose and perform proper repairs
- Conform to all safety and health standards
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of Transport Refrigeration Technician experience
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must be able to be “on-call” for after-hours service
- Must have own tools
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and / or sit frequently throughout the duration of the day
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail is key for this position
