About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced transportation analyst to evaluate and upgrade the efficiency of our transportation network. In this role, you will be required to collect and interpret logistics data, evaluate the efficiency of transits, identify streamlined transportation methods and draft statistical reports.
Location: This role is located at our Boston Seaport warehouse/office and requires 5-days onsite (not a remote position).
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Onsite 5 days a week
- Works under minimal supervision to implement, analyze and evaluate route schedules and service capabilities to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability
- Report metrics pertaining to weekly/monthly historical information to prepare reports for transportation and operational decision-making
- Discover the most cost-effective trailer utilization
- Collaborate with IT professionals to implement systems enhancements
- Analyzing route operations current and historical customer service profiles; developing, analyzing, and evaluating alternate scenarios and formulating/recommending logistics-based service improvements, operating efficiencies, and revenue opportunities
- Analyzing recurring issues/trends, identifying deficiencies/root causes in routing operations and developing/recommending strategic solutions to improve routing and logistics processes and technologies and/or revising/developing routing standards
- Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
- Track location of equipment using Geotab
- Performs other related duties, as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Experience using Geotab is a plus
- Ability to work independently and on multiple projects at once
- Possess proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work well in a team
- Perform work with a high degree of latitude.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in work experience
- Minimum 2 years working in the Transportation field

Material Handling Equipment
This role may involve the operation of certain pieces of Material Handling Equipment (MHE). The company supplies and mandates training and certification on each individual piece of equipment prior to permissible use.
