Load Planner

W&A is seeking determined transportation professionals to support our Operations department. Successful candidates will be adept in multitasking, maximization of resources, and interpersonal communication. This role will require a balance of collaboration and individual discretion.

Position Requirements:

• Consistent Monday through Thursday schedule with extended hours on Friday evenings (on occasional basis). Will include rotational after hours on-call schedule.
• Knowledge of DOT Safety Regulations, hours of service, and Federal and State highway laws
• Strong geographic knowledge of United States
• Proficient verbal and written communication with fluency in English
• Competent with office technology including computers, multi-line phone systems, and multi-function devices
• Prior experience with driver technologies including Transportation Management systems and ELDs will be beneficial

Primary Duties:

• Build loads that maximize customer satisfaction, efficient resource utilization, value, and revenue
• Assign resources in accordance with company procedures and with consideration for DOT regulations
• Provide diligent communication with customers and drivers to ensure on-schedule, damage-free delivery for each shipment.
• Seek and assign back-haul loads to drivers in the designated region

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
