Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures
- Perform expanded functions in accordance with Ohio EFDA licensure and regulations
- Place and finish restorations, take impressions, and assist with provisional restorations
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
- Educate patients on treatment plans, oral hygiene, and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards
- Monitor and maintain dental supplies and operatory cleanliness
- Collaborate with the clinical and front office teams to ensure smooth daily workflow
Qualifications
- Current Ohio EFDA certification (required)
- Active Dental Assistant registration/licensure in Ohio
- CPR/BLS certification
- Prior dental assisting experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Willingness to learn and grow within the practice
