Position Summary:
The Finance Operations Analyst will assist in analyzing operational costs for the company, budgeting/forecasting, costing products, and acting as the finance business partner for our newly built Texas facility. The primary duty of this role is to gather financial data (e.g., manufacturing consumption, labor costs, etc) and analyze the data in accordance with company directives. This candidate must have strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and technological skills. The Finance Operations Analyst will report to the Director Finance - Supply Chain and work closely with the Manufacturing team.
Responsibilities:
Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for maintaining item costs to assure accuracy of ingredient costs, labor, and overhead content.
- Analyze and audit actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Responsible for monitoring production yield and comparison to standard yield.
- Monitor and report on the performance of labor and overhead standards as compared to actual costs.
- Participate in establishing manufacturing performance standards while leveraging the ERP system.
- Monitoring unit cost and production cost variances.
- Generate ad hoc financial analyses as required by management for all aspects of the business.
- Collect data to determine the cost of and differences between the various manufacturing processes to provide support on variances.
- Develop and distribute weekly/monthly KPI reports for Supply Chain.
- Participate in other duties/projects as assigned by management.
- In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, the successful candidate will work closely with our Operations team in Texas to ensure efficient and cost effective start up of our newly built gummy production facility and distribution center.
You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, operations, logistics, or a similar field.
- Minimum of two years of work experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- ERP application knowledge in the manufacturing space, SAP preferred.
- Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost specialist or similar role.
- Computer skills – MO Office Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for process improvement.
