Schedule: 12's: Must be on the unit ready to go by 6:45 am/pm. Shifts run from 7a - 7p. Self-scheduling is allowed as long as the needs of the unit are met. Staff are allowed 4 requested days off per month

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) with a 1:4 ratio, typically running 1:5 or 1:6.
  
• Read and interpret tele monitor strips using Nihon Kohden system.
  
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, Heparin, and occasionally Lasix.
  
• Manage respiratory equipment such as AirVo high flow and Respironics Bipap.
  
• Collaborate with hospitalist or intensivist 24/7 and support the IV team with IV starts.
  
• Float into Tele or MedSurg units as needed, with ratios up to 1:6 or 1:7 in MedSurg.
  
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols and participate in orientation and ongoing training.
  
• Support patient management for conditions including chest pain, MI, CHF, arrhythmias, post procedure care, and overflow cases.
