Technical Program Manager (TPM)
Role Summary
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager who can drive end‑to‑end delivery of complex technical programs with strong execution rigor, hands‑on technical depth, and the ability to operate across software, automation, DevOps, and system‑level domains. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery, high quality, and rapid issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Program / Project Management (End‑to‑End Delivery)
- Own programs from intake to delivery, including scope definition, execution planning, delivery tracking, and closure.
- Drive execution across multiple workstreams while ensuring alignment to business and technical goals.
- Establish clear program governance, execution cadence, and communication mechanisms.
Schedule, Milestone & Dependency Management
- Create and maintain detailed program plans with milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Proactively identify delivery risks, cross‑team dependencies, and timeline constraints.
- Track progress against commitments and drive corrective actions to maintain delivery predictability.
Hands‑On Technical Depth (Overall)
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand system architecture, technical trade‑offs, and implementation constraints.
- Translate technical discussions into executable plans, risks, and decisions for stakeholders.
- Act as a strong technical partner who can challenge assumptions and drive clarity.
Python / Automation Experience
- Leverage Python or automation frameworks to support operational efficiency, validation, reporting, or data analysis where applicable.
- Collaborate with teams on automation strategies to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
- Understand automation pipelines and scripts well enough to triage issues and assess impact.
DevOps Knowledge (CI/CD, Infrastructure, Monitoring)
- Demonstrate working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure environments, and monitoring systems.
- Coordinate releases, deployments, and operational readiness activities.
- Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to improve reliability, observability, and deployment hygiene.
Issue Triage & Root Cause Analysis
- Lead issue triage, incident coordination, and root cause analysis across engineering and operations teams.
- Drive timely resolution of production and pre‑production issues while ensuring appropriate follow‑ups.
- Track corrective and preventive actions to closure and ensure learnings are institutionalized.
Hardware Awareness / System‑Level Understanding
- Understand hardware dependencies and system‑level interactions that may impact software behavior or delivery.
- Coordinate across hardware, firmware, and software teams when issues span multiple layers.
- Incorporate system constraints into planning, risk management, and delivery decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Technical Program Management / Technical Project Management roles.
- Proven track record of managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Strong execution skills with the ability to manage schedules, risks, and delivery outcomes.
- Hands‑on technical understanding across software systems, automation, and DevOps practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical topics to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience working with globally distributed teams and time‑zone–aligned delivery.
- Familiarity with incident management, production support, and operational excellence practices.
- Experience defining and tracking delivery and operational metrics.
