Position Summary
The Demand & Supply Planner is responsible for forecasting demand, planning production and inventory requirements, and ensuring material availability to support Vyper Industrial's operations. This position works closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Sales, and Finance to align supply with demand, optimize inventory levels, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts for internal D2C/B2B and Amazon FBA sales channels.
- Manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align production requirements with forecasted demand.
- Utilize Acumatica MRP to identify material requirements, potential shortages, and replenishment needs.
- Analyze historical sales, seasonal trends, promotions, and projected demand to improve planning accuracy.
- Plan Amazon FBA inventory levels and replenishment requirements to maintain product availability.
- Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and replenishment parameters to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Manufacturing to align material availability, production capacity, and inventory requirements.
- Support Finance with projected inventory purchases, material commitments, and cash flow planning.
- Identify potential supply constraints and proactively recommend solutions.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and an understanding of manufacturing and inventory planning principles.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop forecasts.
- Understanding of inventory management, production scheduling, and material replenishment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business demands.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience with Amazon FBA, Acumatica, or e-commerce operations preferred.
- Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
