Corteva Agriscience intends to separate into two independent companies on or about October 1, 2026. It is Corteva’s current intention, that this position will align with the Seed Company, Vylor, at the time of the intended separation.
The Vylor innovation engine will be anchored in the agriculture industry’s most elite germplasm and transformative biotech. The company will leverage its next generation scientific expertise in disciplines like gene editing and molecular breeding to further strengthen its core business while exploring opportunities to expand to new row crops – and potentially beyond. Vylor will scale these innovations using its leading routes-to-market and by significantly expanding its licensing business.
Position Summary
The Senior Commodity Manager - North America Seeds Production Services Lead is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support Corteva’s Seed Production operations across the United States and Canada. The role manages approximately $150MM in annual spend across critical production services, labor, field operations, harvesting, equipment, and other operational categories that enable reliable, efficient, and cost-effective seed production.

Corteva announced to separate our current advanced seed and genetics business to establish a standalone company, operating as Vylor, Inc. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to legal requirements and board approval. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the separation, you would be an employee of Vylor, Inc. and your employment would be governed by Vylor, Inc. employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by Vylor, Inc. at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

- Develop and execute category strategies for Seed Production Services across North America, ensuring alignment with business priorities, operational requirements, and procurement objectives.
- Lead sourcing activities including market assessments, competitive bidding events, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier onboarding.
- Manage strategic categories including temporary labor, field services, harvesting services, production equipment, agricultural service providers, and other operational support services required for Seed Production.
- Partner with Seed Operations leaders and stakeholders to understand business needs, identify sourcing opportunities, and ensure supplier capabilities align with production requirements.
- Lead commercial negotiations to optimize total value, including pricing, service levels, contract terms, payment conditions, operational flexibility, and risk allocation.
- Manage key supplier relationships through performance management, governance processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and proactive risk mitigation.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve cost competitiveness, operational efficiency, supplier performance, and overall value creation through data-driven decision making and market intelligence.
- Drive procurement process improvements, contract compliance, supplier governance, and standardization initiatives across Seed Production procurement activities.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to develop commercial agreements that appropriately balance business objectives, operational requirements, and risk management considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
- Experience managing complex supplier portfolios supporting operationally critical environments, including services, labor, equipment, agricultural operations, or industrial categories.
- Demonstrated success negotiating commercial agreements, managing supplier relationships, and delivering measurable business value.
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, category management, contracting, supplier performance management, and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage spend data, market intelligence, and supplier insights to support business decisions and sourcing strategies.
- Experience with procurement systems such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
