Overview
Join our team as a CAD Drafter to develop precise, detailed drawings for a growing structural engineering firm. In this role, you'll collaborate with the principal engineer to produce accurate 2D and 3D models using industry-leading CAD software.
Duties
- Create detailed drawings of buildings and structures, working closely with the Structural Engineer to ensure code compliance
- Use software like Revit and AutoCAD to create and manage 3D models and 2D drawings for various projects, including residential, commercial and industrial developments
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of drawings
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements
- Organize and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawing revisions and updates
Requirements
- High school diploma
- One year of experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms. Education/Certificate may substitute for experience requirement.
- Strong knowledge of drafting standards and construction documentation procedures
- Ability to multitask and handle several projects at a time
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from the principal engineer
- Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
- Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions
- In person availability for meetings and trainings
