What You’ll Do
The Housekeeper performs scheduled custodial services for the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Training Center (TRACEN) Birmingham Southern campus located at 900 Arkadelphia Road, Birmingham, AL, 35254.

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, waiting areas, and other designated areas.
• Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in hallways, and common areas.
• Collect and dispose of trash and waste properly, following infection control guidelines.
• Restock supplies such as towels, toilet paper, soap, and other essential items in public areas, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, notifying the supervisor when items need to be replenished.
• Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
• Follow standard procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous materials and adhering to infection control practices.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events or meetings as required.
• Adhere to all safety precautions and protocols while performing duties to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.

What You’ll Have

• Minimum 1–2 years of janitorial/housekeeping work in federal or high-traffic commercial environments.
• Knowledge of CDC-aligned cleaning protocols, including biohazard disposal and dwell time compliance.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and comply with site security policies.
• Have or obtain required immunizations.
