Key Responsibilities
Application Development
- Design, develop, test, and deploy internal applications to support production and administrative functions.
- Develop and maintain integrations between manufacturing systems, ERP systems, and supplier/customer portals.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Perform system enhancements and modifications based on operational needs.
Manufacturing Systems Support
- Support shop-floor applications and production-related systems.
- Troubleshoot software-related production interruptions to minimize downtime.
- Assist with barcode systems, label printing systems, and data collection applications.
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability in production reporting systems.
Database Management
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports.
- Monitor database performance and ensure data integrity.
- Support backup and recovery processes in coordination with corporate IT.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with plant leadership and department managers to gather requirements.
- Coordinate with corporate IT on enterprise system initiatives.
- Maintain documentation for applications, processes, and system architecture.
- Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization efforts.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of application development experience (manufacturing experience preferred).
- Experience with SQL databases and report development.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, .NET, Python, Java, or similar).
- Experience integrating systems and working with APIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a production-driven environment.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing plant office environment.
- Occasional after-hours support for system deployments or production issues.
- Required travel to all Vuteq USA locations as needed. Occasional travel to Canada and/or Mexico may be necessary.
