We are seeking a motivated Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Engineering Department at our Adel, Georgia headquarters.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structural engineering while working directly under the supervision and mentorship of Vanessa Banks, Director of Engineering. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to develop practical design solutions from concept through fabrication and construction.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the structural analysis and design of metal building systems and components.
- Perform engineering calculations for primary framing, secondary members, connections, and foundations.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings.
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Apply applicable building codes and industry standards, including:
- International Building Code (IBC)
- ASCE 7
- AISC Steel Construction Manual
- AISI Cold-Formed Steel Design Standards
- MBMA design practices
- Collaborate with estimating, drafting, manufacturing, project management, and field construction teams.
- Support value engineering initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce project costs.
- Assist in resolving engineering, manufacturing, and field-related challenges.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and current EIT certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and steel design principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, STAAD, Tekla, or similar engineering software is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
