About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiography Supervisor at our Tacoma, WA location to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of radiographic services in support of our internal and external customers' goals and objectives. About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiography Supervisor at our Tacoma, WA location to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of radiographic services in support of our internal and external customers' goals and objectives. As a Radiography Supervisor, you will oversee the radiography program and personnel, ensuring compliance with company, ASNT, and military requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Radiography program and personnel, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform internal and external audits to support the company's ISO 9001 certification.
- Participate in customer, ASME, and ISO audits.
- Conduct quality/process improvement projects and investigations as directed by the NDT Manager.
- Develop work instructions, procedures, and reporting formats to ensure compliance with industry practices and customer requirements.
- Ensure timely and reliable results from all internal NDT procedures and practices.
- Provide leadership and daily direction to NDT operators, ensuring the quality and reliability of results.
- Ensure accurate calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Liaise with external NDT and calibration suppliers to ensure accurate and consistent results.
- Review and address any inconsistencies or anomalies in results.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; a four-year degree in Material Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience as a lead or supervisor in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a quality assurance/inspection function (essential).
- Ability to interpret ASME, ASTM, Military codes, customer specifications, and drawings.
- Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD software.
- Strong mathematical skills (including algebra).
- Ability to create and interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts.
- Strong technical and interpersonal problem-solving skills.
