Barista – VuLao Coffee
At VuLao Coffee, we craft more than beverages—we create a multicultural experience rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, and hospitality. Inspired by family tradition and global beverage culture, our menu features specialty coffee, authentic Vietnamese coffee, ceremonial matcha, and premium boba crafted with imported teas from Japan and Taiwan.
We are looking for passionate, energetic, and hospitality-driven Baristas to help bring the VuLao experience to life.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve premium espresso beverages, specialty coffee, and our signature Heritage Blend
- Be a voice in our story and an expert of our product while walking people through the elements of our craft
- Craft authentic traditional Vietnamese coffee beverages with attention to ritual and presentation
- Prepare ceremonial-grade matcha beverages with consistency and care
- Create handcrafted boba teas using premium imported teas and fresh ingredients
- Operate POS systems, process guest transactions, and provide warm, attentive customer service
- Assist guests with menu recommendations and educate them on our beverage offerings
- Prep ingredients daily, including teas, syrups, toppings, coffee components, and beverage stations
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the café
- Support opening and closing duties, inventory organization, and restocking
- Work collaboratively with the team to create a welcoming, polished guest experience
What We’re Looking For
- Positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced café environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Interest in coffee, tea culture, and beverage artistry
- Comfortable multitasking between beverage preparation, cashiering, and guest interaction
- Previous barista, café, boba, or food service experience preferred (but we can train the right person)
