SUMMARY
The Information Technology Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s information technology infrastructure. This role supports on‑premises and cloud‑based systems, networks, endpoints, and users, ensuring availability, performance, security, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned and are not limited to those below:
- Install, configure, maintain, and support network, server, and endpoint hardware and software in physical and virtual environments.
- Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core infrastructure services.
- Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Monitor system performance and availability using network and systems monitoring tools; respond to alerts and incidents.
- Configure and support firewalls, VPNs, secure remote access, and electronic gateways.
- Maintain wired and wireless networks including switches, access points, and network security controls.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, including imaging, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, printer, and connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain endpoint security, antivirus/anti‑malware, and vulnerability remediation.
- Perform and verify daily, weekly, and monthly backups; assist with data restoration and disaster recovery testing.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and procedures.
- Adhere to and enforce corporate security policies and standards.
- Assist with audits, compliance efforts, and incident response activities.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, safety, and departmental standards.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field; or
- Two (2) years of related experience; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
- Industry certifications are preferred but not required.
- Must pass pre-employment screen, physical and background checks.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry as they relate to information technology and networking.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations, including capacity planning, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret technical metrics, system performance data, logs, and reports to assist in diagnosing issues and supporting operational decisions.
